Photo art has always been another language to me.

Photoshop has become an essential tool for giving shape to the worlds that emerge quietly in my mind.

I am drawn to the delicate boundary where reality slowly shifts into the surreal. A space where the warmth of reality still lingers, even as the imagination begins to take over — yet somewhere, one foot remains grounded in the real world.

My work is born from that in-between space.

If my images can quietly touch someone’s memories or emotions, then I feel they have truly reached beyond the screen.

Born in 1970 in Hyogo, Japan, my interest in photography began after seeing the work of a close friend who used a DSLR camera.

Later, discovering the possibilities of Photoshop’s layering process expanded my understanding of photographic expression and led me toward creating conceptual photo art.

In 2015, I participated in a volunteer project restoring photographs damaged by the Great East Japan Earthquake. That experience deepened my belief that photography is not only a form of documentation, but also a vessel for memory itself.

Since 2017, I have represented Japan at the World Photographic Cup (WPC), receiving Silver Medals in 2022 and 2023, and a Gold Medal in the Commercial category in 2026.

Since 2023, I have also served as a judge for the international Black & White Photo Awards.

My creative process involves gradually shaping imagined scenes through compositing and careful visual construction.

I believe photography is more than a tool for recording reality — it can also express emotions, atmospheres, and sensations that reality alone cannot fully contain.
